RULES THG EVENTS

EVENT RULES

BEHAVE!

1. The host of the event is the roomboss, and nobody else. So if you're not the host...

1a. DONNOT GO SHOUT that you want a restart. If the host does not restart the race, he doesn't.

2. There are still people who think they can ask 1001 questions in the room before the race. I think they donnot realise that everyone is  preparing. So if it says "20 laps", yes, the race is 20 laps. You donnot have to ask that, do you? Also people try to influence the host to change things. If you donnot like the specs, maybe you start your own lobby? Only tell the host stuff which is clearly wrong. If it says TUNING ALLOWED in an UNTUNED event, then tell the host. About other stuff you might not like: shut up.

So DONNOT ASK the host to change the lobby-settings all the time. Go host your own room if you have the urge to set up lobbies!

3. All times are AMSTERDAM TIMEZONE. The lobby will be opened by the host only between 7 PM and 7.30 PM. At 7.30 PM we start our last PRACTICE before the race. At 8.30 PM the race starts automatically after QUALIFYING, which is not suited for racing backwards and doing donuts at the start-finish line. The race starts at 8.30 PM, not at 8.35 PM, not at 8.25 PM, not at 8.50 PM, no, at 8.30 PM. If you are too late, go cry somewhere else.

3a. If you, despite of all the warnings you might get, keep playing the clown, DONNOT GO CRYING if that will be the end of the event for you, or you and your funny buddies.

4. If you have to pee during the race, the rest won't stop and wait for you. Pee before the race starts. Same goes if you want to pee 1 minute before the race, or you discover that you have the wrong car, your controller is empty, your wheel gets off the race-seat, the power goes down in your house, or the doorbell rings, all those things are not, we repeat NOT a reason for the rest to stop what they are doing.

"Eat, sleep, race, repeat" is a much heard motto...it DOES NOT SAY : "Eat, sleep, qualify, pee, ask, shout, ask again, race, shout, type all kind of stupid questions, quit the race, repeat".
It is not so hard, is it?

5. Race as clean as you can. If you try to be funny by cheating, unfair driving or any other stuff, we will be funny too.

5a. Please give eachother room! We ALL race for fun, not to win 1.000.000 euro. Hey, if it would be to win 1.000.000 euro I would race like a mad cow maybe, maybe even "touching" other cars "by accident", donno, but there is no 1.000.000 euro to be won in our THG events. And donnot brake at the last second before a corner, and practice a bit maybe, donnot start to get to know the car in the first lap of the race. Try it the night before, for 2 minutes at least. Please! Race fair, clean, and whatever. I am begging now?

5b. Ofcourse every corner is an opportunity to overtake, like Ayrton Senna said, but NOT by ramming someone of the track while passing him on the inside where there is just NOT enough room at that moment. Donnot try to dive into every gap you see like a mad cow.

5c. If you hit someone and gain a position with that mistake, give that driver his position back by waiting for him.

6. Cars to race with in an THG SUNDAY CUP event are UNTUNED. Some events are with TUNED cars, like the THG TUESDAY CUP mostly, but then it will be announced as such.

7. DONNOT TYPE IN THE LOBBY DURING A RACE OR QUALIFYING. If you missed the start for some reason, let it slide. Go do something else, enter the lobby and watch the race in silence, but DONNOT GO TELL US THAT YOU MISSED THE START in the chat! We know that! SHUT UP. If you have to leave the room, tell us the reason AFTER the race. If you go post the whole story during the race, we go read that stuff, and lose concentration, or even get off track. THAT IS NOT FUNNY. If your dog dies during qualifying, too bad, but believe me, nobody really cares at the moment at least. Turn your MIC off from start of qualifying until everybody (!) has finished too. If you win the race, DONNOT GO sing Disco songs coz you won, there are still drivers trying to focus to get on the podium too! Get it?

8. We believe in peace on earth. Do you? That's a good sign.

9. Ofcourse we try to let all drivers race. But in the circumstance that someone has trouble, or maybe even 2 or 3 guys, we cannot keep AND WILL NOT KEEP restarting lobbies and what not to have those unfortunate drivers racing. Try to get into the lobby on time, rejoin, put your console (that's your PS) off and on again, hit it with a hammer, pray, go to a friend and play there, but DONNOT EXPECT the host to reopen the lobby! That brings more problems most of the time, for maybe 10 more drivers, for the host, or problems for others, who had no problems to begin with, and you DONNOT WANT that, do you?

10. No farting on the MIC, or cursing, and no talking about oil in a PUBLIC lobby!

11. Wanna report something which happened before, during or after the race? Tell the host AFTERWARDS. Nobody else. And please not in the lobby.

12. AFTER the race there could be penalties given for a certain behaviour during the race. No, we DONNOT believe in severe ones. We are not coming to your house or anything. No panic. A timepenalty or DSQ maybe, a warning, or we ask you politely never to race with us again, that sort of stuff.

13. Drivers must be signed up the day before the race.
IF A DRIVER WHO IS NOT SIGNED UP AS REGULAR OR WILDCARD ON TIME ENTERS THE RACE LOBBY
HE WILL BE ASKED TO LEAVE AND HE WILL GET A DSQ FOR THAT ROUND!

14. Drivers must have the correct racenumber painted on the car.
IF A DRIVER HAS NOT PAINTED THE CORRECT NUMBER ON THE CAR, THE PENALTY WILL BE A DSQ!
NO PENALTY WHEN NUMBER CANNOT BE PAINTED ON CAR.
